Alborz

History and description

The first steps of the Alborz Spanish Language Institute go back to 1999 at the Mexican Embassy to Tehran. However, in the summer of that year, a group of Spanish teachers decided to continue by themselves with this remarkable job. Nowadays, the institute presents its activities under the management of Mrs. María Purificación García and the support of both local and native experienced teachers.

In its 20th anniversary, the Alborz Spanish Language Institute has been recognized by the Instituto Cervantes as the only Accredited Center in Iran and the second in the Middle East.

The teaching method used in the Institute is based on the suggestions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and in accordance with the Curricular Plan of the Cervantes Institute. Its name is "Nuevo Prisma" and the main goal of this book and our own is to form experts in the Spanish language and to prepare those who are interested on taking the DELE and SIELE exams.

With the due coordination with the University of Applied Sciences and Technology and Bahar Tourism Institute, the Alborz Spanish Language Institute holds regularly modular courses in Spanish language for different fields, such as commerce, basic services, and so on. The student receives as well the corresponding official certificate.

The center is located in a two-floor building. On the first floor there are three classrooms, Santiago de Compostela, Málaga y Madrid, for the language classes, the registration office and a teacher's room. In the second floor, there are also three classrooms, Buenos Aires, Havana, Mexico, and one  multi-purpose room.
